In the modern art market, the screen is often the first gallery wall. At Laura Clay Art, we believe that our digital presence should feel just as intentional and tactile as walking into the physical studio. We do not use templates out of the box. We craft digital experiences that honor the integrity of the artwork. whether it is a printed collector catalogue or a mobile checkout flow, every pixel matters.
THE DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT
We are seeking two distinct specialists to join our creative team: a Graphic Design Intern and a Web Design Intern.
In these roles, you will not just be executing tasks. You will be shaping the visual identity of a luxury art brand. You will work directly with Laura Clay (Founder/Artist) and Madison (Chief Marketing Officer) to translate high-level strategy into polished, professional assets. This is a highly collaborative environment that requires a weekly virtual sync to review designs and optimize strategy.
THE ROLE
THE RESPONSIBILITES
GRAPHIC DESIGN(Apply for this track if you specialize in Branding, Print, and Packaging)
Editorial & Print Design You will be the architect of our printed materials. This includes designing the seasonal Collector Catalogue and Lookbooks using Adobe InDesign. You will handle typography, layout, and white space to create assets that feel like high-end art publications, not just sales brochures.
Packaging & Unboxing Experience The arrival of an artwork is the final step in the collector's journey. You will design the physical touchpoints that make unboxing a luxury experience. This includes designing custom branded tape, shipping boxes, tissue paper patterns, and stickers that align with the studio's visual identity.
Marketing Collateral You will support the marketing team by creating on-brand graphics for email campaigns, and social media stories. You will ensure that every visual touchpoint maintains the studio's fine-line, minimalist aesthetic.
Exhibition Identity You will design the physical signage, wall labels, and promotional flyers for upcoming shows. You will ensure the brand experience translates seamlessly from the screen to the fair booth.
WEB DESIGN INTERN(Apply for this track if you specialize in Squarespace, UX/UI, and Front-End Dev)

This involves managing the "Available Works" inventory, marking items as sold, and reorganizing collections for optimal viewing. You will build password-protected Private Viewing Rooms for VIP collectors and interior design partners to view exclusive inventory.
UX/UI Optimization You will ensure the collector’s journey is frictionless. This means auditing the mobile browsing experience, fixing broken links, and optimizing page load speeds. You will use CSS and HTML to customize our Squarespace template, pushing it beyond the basics to create a bespoke digital experience.
SEO & Analytics You will help the art find its audience. By auditing site SEO (Alt text, meta descriptions) and monitoring traffic sources, you will provide the marketing team with the data needed to make informed decisions.
These roles offer a direct line to the decision-makers of the business. You will learn:

The specific design standards required for the luxury art market.
How to interpret analytics to improve user experience and drive sales.
