Frequently Asked Questions
We believe in making art accessible, meaningful, and easy to bring home. Below you'll find answers to common questions about payment plans, materials, shipping, and more.
Process & Care
-
Limited edition prints are produced in a set quantity—once they’re sold out, they won’t be reprinted. Each is signed, numbered, and often accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. These are ideal for collectors looking for exclusivity and value over time.
Open edition prints are not limited in quantity and may be restocked periodically. They’re a more accessible way to collect artwork, especially for new collectors or those looking for a particular piece at a lower price point.
Each print is created using museum-grade materials and professional fine art printing technology. Printed with UltraChrome pigment inks on 230 gsm Bright White Paper, a soft-textured, 100% cotton paper, the result is a richly detailed, archival-quality reproduction.
-
Keep out of direct sunlight, avoid humid environments, and frame works on paper behind UV-protective glass when possible. I’m happy to provide specific care tips for your piece—just email hello@lauraclayart.com.
-
Select works from my early practice—what I call the Heritage Collection—aren’t always available online. These earlier pieces are kept in the studio archive and brought out of the vault just once or twice a year. If you’re looking for a specific piece you’ve seen before, feel free to email hello@lauraclayart.com and I’ll let you know when it might be available again.
Interior Designers, Trade Partners, & Custom Work
-
Yes, and I love collaborating with designers to find the perfect piece for your client or space. Trade pricing is available for eligible professionals. Email me at hello@lauraclayart.com for a line sheet and terms.
-
Absolutely. I can provide mockups and scaled images upon request. In-person previews may also be possible in the Austin area.
-
I take on a limited number of commissions each year. If you're interested in a custom piece—whether for your home, a gift, or a special project—please email me at hello@lauraclayart.com with your vision and timeline.
-
Typically 4–8 weeks, depending on scale, materials, and current waitlist. Rush timelines may be possible for an added fee.
-
That’s wonderful—collaborating with local businesses is one of my favorite ways to connect art with community. If you’re interested in showcasing my work in your space, hosting an event, or partnering on a project, please email hello@lauraclayart.com with a little about your business and what you have in mind. I’m always open to thoughtful, creative partnerships that highlight Austin’s art scene.
Shipping & Delivery
-
All pieces are carefully wrapped, protected, and shipped with tracking. Depending on size and medium, pieces may ship flat, rolled in a tube, or crated. Originals over a certain size may require specialty shipping, which I’ll coordinate with you directly.
-
Originals typically ship within 7–10 business days. If you’re purchasing during a studio sale, pre-order, or event, timing may vary—but I’ll always communicate clearly about timelines.
-
I currently ship across the U.S. and select international locations. If you’re outside the U.S. and interested in collecting a piece, please email hello@lauraclayart.com and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
-
Yes, on a case-by-case basis. Shipping rates and delivery times will vary. Please email hello@lauraclayart.com to discuss details.
