Laura Clay presents a solo exhibition of Windows of the World, a collection anchored in her personal faith and deep reverence for the natural world. Laura views the act of painting not merely as production, but as a form of active observation and spiritual stewardship.
This exhibition marks a significant moment of dedication, as Laura offers this body of work to God at the beginning of the year. It is a gesture of putting the Creator first and acknowledging that every stroke of color is a reflection of His glory. Burano is rich with contrast and quietude. Named after the colorful island near Venice, the piece balances golden ochre and cornflower blue in a seamless gradient. A soft, hazy square at center appears as if it were cut from the sky and gently embedded into its frame.

Windows of the World Series

A Mexican-American artist based in Austin, Laura holds an MFA from the National Art School in Sydney and a BFA from Texas Christian University. Her work has been acquired by the Mexic-Arte Museum for its permanent collection and featured in over 60 exhibitions worldwide. Recently, she was named in the Top 26 Artists to Collect in 2026 by Saatchi Art.
